Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a part of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a CNN political commentator from 2017 to 2020. Psaki started her professional career in 2001 with the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was later appointed the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki was back in the political arena in 2012, serving as the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 campaign. [20] Psaki quit as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11, 2013. [20] She was hired at the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21However, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30,2014. In 2015, she was recalled to the White House as communications director and remained until the close of the Obama administration.
